At The General Store, we believe in the power of community and the impact of giving. Our 'Round Up at the Register' program is a testament to this belief, offering a simple yet powerful way for our customers to support local nonprofits and make a meaningful difference. Through this initiative, we provide a platform for our patrons to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the extra change going directly to our partnered organizations.

On our Donations page, you'll find an overview of our 'Round Up at the Register' partnerships, including the total contributions made this year. We proudly showcase our current round-up partner, detailing their mission, achievements, and how your contributions are fueling their impactful work. This page is not just a reflection of our collective efforts but also an invitation for potential new partners to join this journey of giving. Organizations seeking to become a round-up partner or those requesting other forms of donations can easily submit their information through our platform.

We believe that consistent, community-driven support is a cornerstone of sustainable nonprofit funding. It enables these organizations to focus more on their long-term goals and less on fundraising, thereby amplifying their impact on the community. Join us in this endeavor of kindness and generosity. Your small change can make a big change in someone's life.

Partnering with the Inland Northwest to reach the poor with the love and power of the gospel so they may become God-dependent, contributing members of society.

Providing homeless
services for over 70 years

Founded in 1951 by a group of Christian businesspeople, UGM exists to provide food, shelter, and individualized pathways out of homelessness to men, women, and children in need across Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Our services include comprehensive addiction and trauma recovery, legal and financial services, jobs and job-training, one-on-one counseling, and much more.

Founded on the gospel

It’s our middle name. The good news that Jesus came to conquer sin and death is at the core of everything we do. Why? Because only God can truly change a life. We can feed people, house them, provide tutoring and job training, but we cannot change a heart or set someone free from the weight of sin and shame. The best thing we can do for someone walking through our doors is to introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Partnering with the Inland Northwest

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, all our services are provided entirely through the dedication and support of the community. We do not accept government funding and rely heavily on volunteers, monthly donors, local businesses, and the community’s support of our thrift stores and used car dealership. See how you can partner with Union Gospel Mission today.

People across the Inland Northwest see the problem of homelessness and want to help. Union Gospel Mission offers practical solutions and countless ways to get involved.

Why giving matters

Monthly giving from people like you is the most sustainable source of nonprofit funding in the world. It allows organizations to spend less time fundraising, think longer term, and make a more significant impact.
