Use of Ace Ice Melter exaggerates freezing and thawing cycles. The resultant stresses may damage sub-standard surfaces. Such damage may be minimized by sealing surface prior to application and by timely removal of resultant slush. Not recommended for melting ice on roofs, gutters, downspouts or decks.
